My Story

For years, I struggled to find hats that fit my smaller face, as most were too large and overwhelming. That changed in November 2024 during a trip to Japan. I discovered a small hat shop in Tokyo and tried on a short-brim hat for the first time. It fit perfectly and was unlike anything I'd seen in America—unique and stylish.

Inspired, I returned home only to find a lack of similar styles. So, I decided to create my own. Boushi Hat Co. was born from this passion, crafting hats with a perfectly short brim that's both stylish and practical. Our hats are designed to complement all face shapes and sizes, offering a unique style and comfortable fit.

Raised in the vibrant Shibuya area, Yumi's career journey is marked by diverse experiences—from the fast-paced world of an apparel press room to the customer-facing roles of management, bartending, and event coordination. This unique professional foundation has cultivated an exceptional eye for detail and dynamic skills.

In 2024, a new chapter began with the establishment of a talent management company alongside the acclaimed artist, nekomamire_yu. Later that year, Yumi connected with Jerred, founder of Boushi Hat Co., immediately recognizing a shared vision. This connection quickly led to Yumi's integral involvement and the launch of the Tokyo Branch Office.
